Fabric of Fear
Negroni Talks #44
Negroni Talks is a series presented by fourth_space. Inspired by the convivial and provocative atmospheres of café society in fin-de-siècle Europe, the recordings are produced as live events that encourage audience participation in the discussion as much as the chair and invited speakers.
This episode focuses on fear in the urban realm offering a wealth of diverse perspectives, from public art and ‘aggressive architecture’ to night running and inclusive communities.
Deborah Saunt attended the event with students from the London School of Architecture, from her Design Think Tank, in which the idea of post-policing spaces are explored in the context of the London Borough of Hackney. Beyond the LSA, Deborah discusses Exchange Square in the context of inclusivity and coexisting.
This episode was chaired by Helen Parton, with invited practitioners: Farah Bennis from FFA Security Group, Hanna Benihoud, an artist, Martyn Evans from LandsecU+I and Sarah Ackland a feminist PhD researcher and runner.
