Image Overview

DSDHA's jewel-like proposal for the refurbishment and upgrade of the failing fabric of a poor-quality warehouse, ‘Neal Street’, won planning permission in December 2015.

Set within the Conservation Area of Seven Dials, the project sets a new benchmark for the sustainable adaptation of historic buildings. ‘Neal Steet’ creates contemporary spaces behind a refined brick envelope that resonates with the unique characteristics of Covent Garden.

By converting and renovating an existing building, the project creates a contemporary, high-quality retail, office, and residential space. The new lightweight rooftop pavilion is constructed from prefabricated timber and clad with handcrafted metal shingles.

The refurbishment aims to achieve Passivhaus EnerPHit accreditation.
