Image Overview

Gaining planning consent in 2012, DSDHA worked with Kevin McCloud’s development company, Hab Oakus, on the development of 78 homes on a former hospital site in Stroud, Gloucestershire. The project, which was completed on site in 2015, greatly appealed to the local planning authority, who admired both the vision of the Client and DSDHA’s proposals for realising them. The design cleverly builds upon the strong character of the existing Cashes Green Hospital, renovating the existing buildings and retaining ecologically diverse areas of the surrounding woodland. DSDHA also conducted a number of consultation events with the local community to ensure support for the scheme prior to the submission of a planning application.
